- Managing day-to-day financial accounting (accounts receivable, fixed assets accounting, bank postings)
- Handling and monitoring payment transactions as well as maintaining accounts
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Supporting group financial statements, including consolidation
- Preparing profit and loss statements (P&L) and analyses
- Processing and preparing research grants
- Performing ongoing reconciliations and analyses throughout the year
- Identifying optimization potential and further developing existing accounting processes.

Your profile
- Completed commercial training, further qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or a degree in Accounting / Finance
- Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in financial accounting / accounting
- Good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
- Experience in preparing or supporting group financial statements (consolidation) is an advantage
- Basic understanding of tax-related topics
- Confident handling of SAP S/4HANA
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Structured, careful, and detail-oriented way of working
- High level of personal responsibility and reliability
- Experience with Pleo is desirable
- Additional knowledge of tax law is a plus
- German: C1 level.
